An outdoor living history museum, Pioneer Farms presents the story of rural life in central Texas during the 1880's. Using historically correct farm animals, crops, clothing, furnishings, buildings, implements and food, costumed interpreters offer a composite look at the family farm and three family lifestyles typical of Walnut Creek in Central Texas. You’ll find five themed historic areas to explore: a Tonkawa Indian Encampment, a German Emigrant Farm, a Texian Farm, a Cotton Planter's Farm and a rural village called Sprinkle Corner. In each area you can see real Texas history, explore more than 90 beautiful, wooded acres, and discover exciting, memorable ways to experience Texas' past.
