The US Senior Open Golf Championship was held June 28 – July 1, 2018 in Colorado Springs, CO at the Broadmoor Hotel. The field of 150 professional golfers from around the world competed.
The Broadmoor opened in 1918, 100 years ago. At that time, it was common for golf courses to be designed with the first 9 holes beginning at the Club House and ending at the course’s farthest point, also known as “The Turn”. Holes 10 through 18 wend their way back to the Club House.
The Broadmoor’s course, which is laid out in this fashion presents a challenge to transport golfers to the far end of the course for simultaneous tee times on Holes 1 and 10. The Shuttle Committee's job is to smoothly and efficiently transport the Pros and their caddies to their starting point for their specified tee times and back to the Club House following their round.
We had a fleet of black Cadillac Escalades to work with.
It was a great week! Congratulations to all the golfers and to the 2018 US Senior Open Champion, David Toms!
I enjoyed meeting many golfers that I had previously only seen on TV, and making many new friends.
Thank you to our Captians Margret and Melissa, and thank you all!
