Sedona, today, is for tourists and retirees. It was founded as an agricultural town, primarily feeding folks in Falgstaff 60 miles away.
Before the roads were built, farmers had to take their goods to market by wagon. It took them one day just to get a wagon to the top of the mountains surrounding Sedona.
We experienced some of Sedona's ruggedness by four-wheeling on a Pink Jeep tour. It was cold, bumpy and fun! Rain and sleet were unexpected bonuses!
Photo 34 shows the surprise of the other jeep guide that ran into out vehicle on the trail. The last photo is of Bell Rock, a Sedona landmark.
