The Piano Bridge was built in 1883 by King Iron Bridge Co of Cleveland, OH. The bridge spans the normally lazy Navidad River connecting the Czech communities of Dubina and High Hill, Texas. Both communities shunned the railroad in the 1870's and are tiny rural enclaves today.
The bridge is named for the song it "sings" as tires go over the iron tread of the bridge.
