St. Cyril & Methodious Church was founded in 1856 in the Czech community of Dubina. Thousands of Czech immigrants settled and prospered in central Texas during the 1800's sharing their traditions, beliefs and values. They built the "Paint...ed Churches" that remain today, painted to resemble the great cathederals they left behind. This is one of them.
